Get to Know Me!
Hello! My name is Kiana Caton (key-AH-nuh cah-TOHN)! I'm a new voice over artist based in San Diego, California with extensive training in commercials, IVR, corporate, e-learning, and explainers, and I'm also working to incorporate audiobook narration into my skillset.
My unofficial voice over journey started in 2021 on a date. My date wasn't the first to tell me I had a "nice voice," but he was the first to suggest I could use my voice commercially. Unfortunately, we didn't work out, but I owe him a great deal of credit for planting the seed! Two years later, as I re-evaluated my personal interests, I began signing up for voice over classes. I also began working with experienced voice over artist and coach, Deborah Reeves, to build a repertoire of skills that would culminate in my first set of audio demos. Because one of my goals as a voice over artist is to never stop learning, I continue growing through classes and workshops with experienced professionals.
Even as a newcomer to voice over, I'm no stranger to artistic expression. Throughout my lifetime, I've learned to use facials and movement as a source of expression through runway and print modeling, dance, and even pageantry. With nearly two years of voice over training provided by experienced voice over artists, agents, and casting directors, I feel confident that voice over has become a natural pivot point for me.
